What's Popular This Week on The Innovative Educator

Here’s the roundup of what's been popular on The Innovative Educator blog this week. Below you’ll see my top weekly posts along with the number of pageviews in the past 7 days.

This week the #1 spot goes to What Does Google + Mean for Education. Google+ is a great addition to the social media arena that many innovative educators are considering as a possible replacement for Facebook and Twitter.  Next up is The Innovative Educator's Guide to Getting Started with Cell Phones. This guide has a bunch of great ideas and tools that can be used with any text-enabled phone.  Next up is Ideas for Being a Life Long Learner in the 21st Century which features advice from career expert Penelope Trunk. Number four features a cool online product Scoop.it! Lets You Create Beautiful Subject-Specific Reading Collections. Coming in at #5 is Do Teachers Really Suck?. This is a guest post from Laurette Lynn which features her podcast that explains issues that she and other home educators have with those who choose to teach in public schools. Check out this provocative podcast and comments.

Also in the top ten is Using Facebook for Learning - Point Counter Point where I share reasons why I believe we should use real-world social media for learning in response to a comment from Nancy Willard on a previous post. Still hanging strong in the top is Sites for Using iPads in Education. These devices are extremely popular with educators and their students and this post has some great resources for those using them.

There are several other interesting posts as well. I hope there's something that looks of interest to you.  If it does, check it out. If you’re so inspired leave a comment.
